IB Recruitment 2025: The Intelligence Bureau (IB), under the Ministry of Home Affairs, has announced a major recruitment drive for 3,717 vacancies for the post of Assistant Central Intelligence Officer Grade-II/Executive (ACIO-II/Exe) for the year 2025. These posts fall under Group ‘C’ (Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial) with a pay scale of ₹44,900 to ₹1,42,400 (Level 7) plus allowances, including 20% Special Security Allowance. Applicants must hold a graduate degree from a recognized university and be aged between 18 and 27 years as on 10th August 2025. Age relaxations are available for reserved categories, ex-servicemen, and departmental candidates. Job postings are All India-based, so candidates should be ready to serve anywhere in India.

The selection process includes three stages: a Tier-I objective test, a Tier-II descriptive test, and a final interview (Tier-III). Educational Qualification

• Candidates must have completed a Bachelor’s Degree (Graduation) or equivalent from a recognized university. Basic knowledge of computers is desirable.

Age Limit (as on 10.08.2025)

• Minimum Age: 18 years

• Maximum Age: 27 years (as on 10.08.2025)

• Age Relaxation:

  • SC/ST: 5 years

  • OBC: 3 years

  • Departmental candidates with 3 years of service: up to 40 years

  • Widows, divorced women: up to 35–40 years (category-based)

  • Ex-servicemen & meritorious sportspersons: as per Govt. rules.

Selection Process

• Tier-I: Objective Type Written Exam (100 marks) – Current Affairs, General Studies, Aptitude, Reasoning & English
• Tier-II: Descriptive Test (50 marks) – Essay, Comprehension & Long-form questions
• Tier-III: Interview (100 marks)
  Final merit list will be based on combined marks of all three tiers.
