SHRESHTA Scheme: The Scheme for Residential Education for Students Studying in High Schools in Target Areas (SHRESHTA) is a comprehensive education initiative that aims to help more students in SC-dominated areas by improving access to high-quality education in SHRESHTA schools. The government has approved a new scheme named SHRESHTA (Residential Education for Students in High Schools in Targeted Areas) for the purpose of providing seats for the meritorious SC boys and girls in the best private residential schools in the country. Every year, it is expected that about (3000) students would be selected for admission in Class 9 and Class 11 under the scheme.

SHRESHTA Scheme selection process is based on the academic qualification and attend the National Entrance Test for SHRESHTA. Students before applying SHRESHTA Scheme, Students check the eligibility criteria, qualifications, relevant documents etc.,

Eligibility Criteria for SHRESHTA Scheme: –

• Only SC students studying in the recognized schools – Private or Government or Local Body schools are eligible.
• For admission in the Class 9^th – Should have Passed Class 8
• For admission in the Class 11^th – Must possess Class 10 in the academic year immediately preceding the year of admission.
• The parental income shall not be more than Rs. 2.5 lakhs per year.
• The Caste and Income certificates shall be uploaded prior to the web counselling.
