Railway Recruitment Post Group Level

There are four types of group level jobs.

  • Group A and Group B (Gazetted).
  • Group C and D (Non-gazetted).

For the Level Group A : It’s Carried out by UPSC appointed via Civil Service examination, Combined medical service exam & Engineering Service Examination.

For the Level Group B : It can’t recruit directly .This Group B posts like Section Officers

For the Level Group C : Group C posts is a Technical and Non-Technical related like station master, ticket collector, engineering posts (electrical, Civil, mechanical & signal telecommunication), Traffic apprentice and Commercial apprentices.

For the Level Group D : These posts from various discipline like helper, peon, Safaiwala, Assistant Points man and more.

Railway Recruitment Against Quota :

Sports, Scouts & Guides and Cultural Quota are against for Indian Railway recruitment.

Educational Qualification required :-

Post graduate is required for the level Group A & B posts and minimum 10th, 12th standard or any equivalent fields are requires for the level Group C & D posts.

Process of Selection :

Candidates will be selected based on Written Examination which is conducted by the railway recruitment board. After examination there is no other interview like Viva Voice. But for the certain categories have Skill test like typing, Stenography related to Assistant Station Master, Loco Pilot and etc.
