National Overseas Scholarship 2024: The National Overseas Scholarship was created with the objective of providing students from economically backward communities with their higher education. National Overseas Scholarship This National Overseas Scholarship also helps students to pursue higher education abroad such as Master’s degree or Ph.D. Through the National Overseas Scholarship, the educational level of the students is improved and the economic status is improved.

The National Overseas Scholarship Scheme is a scholarship scheme run by the Central Government. Through this National Foreign Scholarship Scheme low income students belonging to the lower classes, nomadic and semi-nomadic tribes, landless agricultural laborers and traditional artisans to pursue their higher education i.e. post graduate degree or Ph. D helps to pursue courses abroad.

The National Overseas Scholarship has 125 new awards for the 2023-24 academic year, subject to availability of funds. Out of 125 awards, 115 awards are for scheduled castes, 06 awards are for denied, nomadic and semi-nomadic tribes and 04 awards are for landless agricultural laborers and traditional artisans. Masters courses and Ph.D. The scheme provides financial assistance to selected candidates for study.

Eligibility National Overseas Scholarship

• Candidate’s age should be less than 35 years as on 1st April.
• Applicant’s total family income should not exceed Rs.8.00 lakhs per annum.

• Provides financial assistance for student tuition fees, living allowance, contingency stipend, books and study materials and travel expenses.
• It offers an opportunity to study higher education in reputed universities abroad.

Document Required For National Overseas Scholarship 2024

• SSLC/10th certificate mark sheet,
• HSC/12th certificate mark sheet,
• Copy of ITI certificate mark sheet. (In case of Lateral Entry for Diploma level).
• Copy of Diploma certificate mark sheet. (In case of Lateral Entry for Degree level).
• Category Certificate.
• Bonafide Certificate (Appendix-I).
• Annual Family Income Certificate (Appendix-II).
• Promotion Certificate in case of renewal (Appendix III).

How to apply National Overseas Scholarship

Step 1: Go to the official website of National Overseas Scholarship @ socialjustice.gov.in

Step 2: Click on the ‘New Registration’ button and fill the required registration details.

Step 3: Once the registration is completed, your application id & password will be sent to your mobile number and email address.

Step 4: Back to page ‘Click on “Login to Apply”. Enter your Application ID and password.

Step 5: Read the details carefully, tick the checkbox and click on ‘Continue’ button.

Step 6: Fill the required details and click on ‘Save & Register’ to complete the registration process.

Step 7: Now click on ‘New Application’ tab and login using Application ID and Password.

Step 8: Fill the required details, upload the required documents and submit the application.

Step 9: On the left pane, click “Application Form”. The fields marked as * are compulsory. Fill the details and upload the documents.
