NEC Merit Scholarship 2024: NEC Merit Scholarship is a scheme created to promote higher education of students belonging to North Eastern states of India. The program enables students from the North Eastern region of India to pursue higher professional courses. The North Eastern Council (NEC) Merit Scholarship is a government scheme that provides financial assistance to students from the North Eastern Region (NER) of India to pursue higher professional courses in recognized educational institutions in India. The North Eastern Council (NEC) Merit Scholarship provides scholarships to students based on their merit towards their education.

Through NEC Merit Scholarship, students from the North Eastern region can pursue their studies in various industries in an Indian educational institution recognized by the Government of India with financial assistance. Through NEC Merit Scholarship scheme, students from the Northeast region are provided with a scholarship of up to Rs.30,000/- per annum for their professional education. Students in the northeast state, in the north east state, and outside of the northeast state. That means that this scholarship will be given to all deserving students studying in various fields at different levels in educational institutes in India. The NEC Scholarship for North Eastern State Students is offered under the Ministry of North Eastern Regional Development. The annual income of the student’s parent/guardian should not exceed ₹8,00,000 to apply for this NEC scholarship.

Established by the North East Council, this scholarship aims to bridge the financial gap for students pursuing higher education, serving as an ideal program for talented students to achieve their dreams of pursuing advanced degrees in various professional fields. NEC Merit Scholarship Eligibility

• Students must be a permanent resident of the Northeastern states.
• Students should be pursuing Diploma, Degree, Post Graduate or M.Phil. Or register for it.
• D. Students must be registered/applied for the course of any institution recognized by the Government of India.
• Gross annual income of student’s parent/guardian is Rs. 8,00,000 should not exceed.
• Students must have passed the previous qualifying examination with 60% marks.

Steps To Apply NEC Merit Scholarship

• Go to Official Website @ scholarships.gov.in.
• Then click “New Registration”.>>Guidelines for Registration Read carefully then Click “Continue”.
• A Registration Form will appear. Fill the Personal information and click “Register”.
• Now Generator your Application ID and password will be displayed. And also be sent as an SMS on your registered mobile number. Email Id.
• Now go to @scholarships.gov.in
• Click on “Login to Apply”. Enter your Application ID and password.
• Type the OTP and click “Login”. Then Fill the details and upload the documents & Submit Your Application.
